Indy Racing League And Champ Car World Series To Merge

It’s official -- the two U.S. open-wheel series will join forces.

The Indy Racing League (IRL) and Champ Car World Series have agreed to merge under the IRL.

The announcement came on February 22. However, it was made official at a news conference at Homestead-Miami Speedway on February 27.
