CLEVELAND -- You've heard the saying that an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but three apples may do even more.
Michael Harn lost 75 pounds by eating apples. He ate one with each of his three meals each day. He also cut back his portion size and exercised three times a week.
Registered dietitian Tammy Flynn came up with the diet, which she calls the "Three Apple Answer" concept. It's aimed to increase fiber, reduce consumption, and provide essential nutrients to accelerate fat loss.
"If you just added three apples a day into your daily meal plan, you are going to improve your health no matter what," Flynn said.
But remember, you just can't eat apples. Be sure to eat a well-balanced diet of fruits and vegetable as well as proteins and breads.
