No Charges Filed In Connection With 'Top 25' List

Accused Student Forbidden From School Activities

Channel 11 learned that no students at a Mt. Lebanon school will face charges in connection with a top 25 list.

Although the list contained the girls' names, pictures, graphic descriptions of body parts, racist remarks and references to sex and drug activity, the district attorney found nothing criminal about it.

After consulting with the Mt. Lebanon Police Department, the district attorney did not bring charges against the 18-year-old senior who was suspended by the district.

In a statement released Wednesday, the district attorney's office said, "After a thorough review. it has been concluded that significant evidentiary issues exist that would prevent prosecution at this time."

The parents of at least one girl on the list plan to pursue the matter civilly, filing a sexual harassment complaint with the U.S. Department of Education.

In addition, the Mt. Lebanon school district has forbidden the male student from school activities but he will be able to attend graduation.
