Listen up!

Class is in session.

"Judgment Day" is history, as WWE played its pay-per-view card once again.

Podcast: 'Old School, New School' -- Episode 76

Did Vince McMahon's actor-athletes can deliver? You decide.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Miz and Morrisson (c) vs. Kane and C.M. Punk
What Should Happen: Is It just me, or is Miz a lot less miserable to watch than a few months ago? He seems to be getting smoother in the ring, no doubt due to working with the talented Morrison night in, night out. As for this match, it's time for WWE to take tag belts seriously again and have your champs -- Miz and Morrison -- win in convincing fashion. And Kane, no hard feelings, but it's time to mix in a salad.

What Will Happen: Miz and Morrison cheat to win.

What Did Happen: Morrison got the pin over Punk, champs retain.

WWE Women's Championship Match: Mickie James (c) vs. Beth Phoenix vs. Melina
What Should Happen: I must be in a different dimension. WWE finally offers a somewhat compelling women's match with women who can actually wrestle. Sure there's at least six fake body parts in the ring, but you have to take what you can get. Here, I'd have the champ retain -- but there's nothing wrong with this being a 10-minute slugfest.

What Will Happen: Little Mickie keeps her title.

What Did Happen: Mickie retained, pinning Phoenix.

Challenge Match: JBL vs. John Cena
What Should Happen: JBL and Cena drew the short straws in the fatal four-way match at WWE's "Backlash" show last month and were eliminated first. JBL blamed Cena for that and this is the revenge match. At this point, it's probably more important to restore JBL to his killer heel role than to have Cena get a win over a recent full-time announcer. So the smart money is to go with JBL and perhaps develop a Cena "can't win" storyline.

What Will Happen: JBL gets the pin.

What Did Happen: Cena was your winner in this one.

Challenge Match: Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho
What Should Happen: HBK, revealing that he has been faking an injury the past few weeks, will give Y2J all he can handle. But Y2J hasn't really been given a big win since he's been back -- so he should win here. Hats off to WWE for giving both performers something entertaining to do in the storyline reset months following WM24.

What Will Happen: I'm picking Jericho to get the pin.

What Did Happen: HBK got the pin over Y2J.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Undertaker vs. Edge
What Should Happen: UT was stripped of this title for using his new sleeper hold. Due to chicanery via Vickie Guerrero, Edge gets another shot at the Deadman for this prize. More power to him, but Taker's entrance is his strong suit these days (age gets us all, I guess), and I think this title tier deserves performers who can move around the ring quicker.

So I guess that means Edge in this one, even though I'm not crazy about title changes. Worse, however, are behemoths who I can't get excited about. Sorry to say, that would be Undertaker.

What Will Happen: I'll pick Edge to win the gold.

What Did Happen: UT won by countout, but Vickie Guerrero says that means the title remains vacant.

WWE Championship Match: Hunter Hearst Helmsley (c) vs. Randy Orton
What Should Happen: I'm still not sure why HHH took the strap at the last PPV, beating Orton. The Legend Killer, in my opinion, was starting to blossom in his latest heel incarnation, and delivering some intense, no-nonsense promos. I guess son-in-law Hunter knows best for the business.

The bright spot? It's very easy to whine about too many title changes, but you have to give props to WWE writers for elevating the importance of wearing the gold. Now if they would just make title changes meaningful by having one a year for each belt.

As far as this contest, which will take place in a cage, Hunter should win. I'd then like him to keep this strap until "WrestleMania 25" where he can face either Orton or his pal Shawn Michaels. I'd pay through the nose to see that one.

What Will Happen: Trips gets the win in the cage.

What Did Happen: Hunter pinned Orton to retain his gold.

That's it. For the record, I had three right and three wrong on the night, that's called batting .500, kids. As always, I'm still a Hall-Of-Famer.
