'Women Of Starbucks' Wanted By Playboy

Magazine Asks Hopefuls To Send In Photos

Posted: 2:43 p.m. EST February 26, 2003

Move over "Women of Enron," Playboy magazine is brewing a new theme issue -- the "Women of Starbucks."

Women Of Enron Playboy The magazine said in a press release that potential candidates 18 years or older who are employed at the coffee chain are urged to send in their photos to its Chicago headquarters.

But candidates aren't required to strip to apply. The magazine asks potential candidates to send a recent full-figure photo where they are wearing a two-piece swimsuit, and another head-and-shoulders portrait.

The theme issue comes on the heels of Playboy's popular "Women of Enron" issue, which featured current and former employees of the fallen energy giant. Last summer the magazine announced that it was also seeking the hidden assets of women employees from troubled corporation WorldCom and accountants Arthur Andersen.

The magazine didn't reveal any plans for the "Women of Starbucks" issue or when it would be released.

Applicants can e-mail the photos to coffeewomen@playboy.com or mail them to Playboy magazine, "Women of Starbucks," 680 N. Shore Dr., Chicago, IL 60611.
