Preview: Vincentian Academy rehearsing 'The Wizard of Oz'

None — Vincentian Academy is performing “The Wizard of Oz” this year.

“It was a great match for the students who chose to be involved,” said director Ken Lutz.

This marks Lutz’s second show at Vincentian Academy.

“My favorite thing about the cast this year is the students’ energy and enthusiasm,” said Lutz.

One of the enthusiastic students is senior Rose Coppola, who is playing Dorothy.

“It’s a great atmosphere.  The spirits are always high,” said Coppola who has been singing since she was 8 years old and had the opportunity to work at the Summer Theatre Institute at Julliard her sophomore year.

Erin Sarosi, who is playing the Cowardly Lion, has been performing since a young age, as well.

“It’s the most unique and challenging role I have ever played, and I love having a tail,” said Sarosi.

The show dates are Feb. 24, 25, 26, March 2 and March 3.
