The red ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in "The Wizard of Oz" were stolen from a glass case in 2005. The Judy Garland Museum has been looking for them ever since. The slippers are one of four pairs used in the film. Local legend has it that the shoes were put in a sealed container and dropped in a mining pit, which has since filled with water.
Divers came back from their search unsuccessful but will try again today. The effort is part of the weekend long Wizard of Oz Judy Garland Festival.
