LAS VEGAS — A British couple whose Las Vegas wedding was almost ruined by the abrupt closure of travel operator Thomas Cook got the surprise of a lifetime when rock legend Rod Stewart showed up at their nuptials.
The couple's wedding venue, Caesars Palace, helped book Sharon Cook and Andrew Aitchison and their wedding guests on a Delta flight from Liverpool to Vegas and promised them more surprises, according to CNN.

But when Stewart appeared at the altar and began serenading them at the wedding Wednesday, the word surprised might be an understatement.
Aitchison described the wedding and Stewart's appearance as a "dream" in a social media post the next day.
We woke up today with quite a hangover not sure this actually happened, it was like a dream. You helped make it the best day of our lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, you are an absolute Gent and legend Sir Rod. My only worry is that Sharon didn’t want to let you go! https://t.co/rERhx9nfEW
