Russell Wilson and Ciara expecting first child together

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Ciara are expecting their first child together.

Wilson, 27, confirmed the news Monday night on his Instagram account and wrote, "The greatest blessing of all. Forever grateful. #BabyWilsonOnTheWay"

The news was announced on Ciara's 31st birthday.

Ciara also confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing the same photo and captioning the image, "On this special Birthday I received an abundance of love from friends and family.. and I'm excited to Finally share one of the Greatest Gifts of All that God could give."

This would be Wilson’s first child and Ciara’s second. Ciara has a 2-year-old son with rapper Future.

Last week, E! News reported that Ciara is expecting.

The couple tied the knot in July.
