Miller s feel-good classics, including Tuxedo Junction, In the Mood, and Pennsylvania 6-5000 have endured from Victrola records to iPods. His sounds take us back to the days of shiny brass trombones, when couples dipped on the dance floor to swaying saxophones. Audiences have been tapping their feet to the Glenn Miller Orchestra for over fifty years now. A lasting cultural and musical icon, the Glenn Miller Orchestra transcends generational fads with its catchy melodies and danceable beats. Even the stiffest of sticklers is sure to be snapping his fingers by the end of In the Mood. Forever a part of the American musical landscape, the Glenn Miller Orchestra nods to the traditional big band setup with musicians in suits and bowties who dance while they play. After recording with Bing Crosby and Bennie Goodman in the late 1930s, Miller developed a unique style that would catapult his band to the top of the charts. A clarinet held the melody with a tenor sax, supported harmonically by three other saxophones. The hits started rolling, including the song and million selling record, Chattanooga Choo Choo. During World War Two, the Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band boosted troop morale while playing in over 800 performances. Miller was unfortunately lost at sea while traveling to Paris for a performance. The Glenn Miller Orchestra was re-formed in 1956 and continues to record and tour to this day. $25.00, $25.00, $25.00, $25.00,
