In this workshop you will learn how to harvest rainwater from your roof, store it, and use it in your landscape. Take advantage of this free source of precious water while also contributing to improved water quality in our rivers and streams. Learn how to reduce your contribution to combined sewer overflow, flooding, and polluted urban runoff. A demonstration will walk participants through how to assemble and install a retrofitted rain barrel and introduce a variety of rainwater harvesting options. Each participant will receive a 55-gallon food-grade drum and the hardware to assemble and install a rain barrel.
