Drawing and animating shapes is fun, but what about having some sort of data to inform and influence what you’re drawing on screen? In this workshop we’ll look at how to read data from text files, spreadsheets,  images, Twitter, and similar sources into Processing. We’ll create a small project around each data source in the workshop for you to add to with your own projects and ideas! This is an intermediate Processing workshop. If you have some basic experience with Processing or other programming languages, you’ll be just fine. NOTE: Students will need to bring their own laptops (and power cables). We provide internet access if needed. Processing runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux. If you have any questions about your system compatability or capability, please drop us a note: classes@hackpittsburgh.org (A week before the class you'll receive another confirmation email with instructions on how to install Processing, and other details.) NOTE: This class is open to the general public, no shop membership required. For liability reasons, anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. When: Saturday November 15th 10am-4pmWhere: HackPittsburgh shop 1936 5th Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15219 (around back on Watson). If you have any questions please contact classes@hackpittsburgh.org General 62.49
