Turn on, tune in, and drop by the History Center on Sat., Feb. 2 to be among the first to see the new exhibition, 1968: The Year That Rocked America on opening day. Help kick off the groovy new exhibit with special appearances by Mr. McFeely from “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” and other familiar faces from this watershed year in American history. Interact with Vietnam veterans and listen to a stirring Jimi Hendrix-style rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” by award-winning local guitarist Mike Palone. Relive the triumphs and turmoil of the 1960s as DJ Dave Zak spins the music that defined a generation. As part of the event, the History Center will also offer special docent-led tours of the exhibit, ‘60s-themed trivia, and a retro-themed photo booth that the whole family will enjoy. Totally cool!
