Participants will get hands-on putting the service learning process into action and will walk away with usable tools, and resources for planning and implementing service learning. The Youth Engaged in Service (YES) Professional Development Series is for educators, youth workers, out-of-school time providers, parents, volunteers, and community based organizations to implement service, service-learning and philanthropy education in their community. The workshops aim to equip its participants with the tools that they need to plan, implement, and evaluate service learning with youth. A number of training options and styles are offered to meet your needs, from easy to register off-site seasonal workshops to on-your-site workshops tailored to your needs and brought straight to you. If you would like to bring the workshop to your school or organization, group discount rates are given. The PD Series provides participants with an opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired through a wide range of exciting sessions, informative panels, and hands-on workshops. Over 180 adults, and 1,200 youth in our region received service related training last year through Pittsburgh Cares! Become part of the civic engagement movement and contact Holly McGraw to find out how! 25 - 25 USD
