The Open Hydrospheric Modeling Framework (OHMF) group is developing a prototype open data and open model system framework, with the main goal to significantly reduce the time and effort on the part of users in the preparatory work for data and model comparisons, model testing and validations, and fundamental knowledge discoveries. Currently, the National Weather Service (NWS) and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from the Integrated Water Resources Science and Services (IWRSS) are participating in the OHMF effort, as group members. To further the dissemination of information to, and participation by, end users and stakeholders, we will be hosting a "NSF EarthCube Open Hydrospheric Modeling Framework (OHMF) Users Workshop" on March 13-14, 2013 at the University of Pittsburgh. We cordially invite all who are interested in participating in the workshop to register (in-person and virtual attendance). Deadline is March 12, 2013. Registration is free. In-person attendance registration will be limited to 25. We will have Webex set up, for those who cannot travel to Pittsburgh. At all times, we welcome any feedback on our work to make our open data and open model system more useful to both the operational and research communities! One immediate way you can provide feedback is via our EarthCube OHMF Workshop Survey (anonymously if so desired). Thanks! For more details about the workshop, please see NSF EarthCube OHMF Workshop Agenda. NSF EarthCube OHMF Users Workshop 0.00
