Faces of Media is excited to kick-off this year's festival with "The We and The I", an innovative new film from acclaimed director Michel Gondry. This film opens with group of Bronx teenagers boarding a city bus on the last day of school. Before you get too comfortable, rest assured: this is not a sugar-coated high school drama, or a romantic coming-of-age story. "The We and the I" is a brutally honest portrayal of teenage interactions and the increasing desensitization that surrounds them. The bus is a micro community, and the students are left to their own devices within its confines. The opening night celebration features delectable French food from Paris 66, as well an impressive selection of imported beers, courtesy of Frank B. Fuhrer Wholesale. Guests will meet the team that made the festival possible during a special opening night ceremony. As an added treat, cinephiles will rejoice at the opportunity to wave hello to Michel Gondry himself! $15 general - $10 students & seniors
