Having a new baby is typically a wonderful mix of fun and frustration, confidence and confusion, feeling both overjoyed and overwhelmed,Survival Parenting is a relaxed, entertaining, empowering look at life with a newborn. You'll learn what you need to know about the care and capabilites of newborns to make it through those early, crazy days and weeks: diapering; bathing; cord care; sleep (theirs and yours); swaddling; recovering from childbirth (both physically and emotionally); dealing with family and visitors; keeping your relationships strong; and much, much more!Classes are small and personal, so there’s plenty of time for questions, discussion, and individual instruction time.
You'll get the most out of Survival Parenting if you take it in the last trimester of your pregnancy, or shortly after your baby is born. If your baby has already been born, you're welcome to bring him or her with you. Registration is $20 per individual, $30 per couple.

"This class was the single most important thing we did as a couple to prepare."
"I cannot recommend Kathy's class more highly to anyone in the Pittsburgh area. We found everything in Kathy's class -- the resources to help us through the first few days of breastfeeding, our pediatrician, and most importantly, time with each other to discuss the enormous change in our lives that was about to happen. In the end, it wasn't the books we read, but the conversations in Kathy's class that mattered for birth and thereafter."
"Your classes were such a gift. You gave us evidence-based information, skills for labor (and ultimately life), and most of all, confidence to know that we can handle whatever came our way."
"This class was educational and fun. Kathy is an excellent instructor. We enjoyed our time with her."
