PITTSBURGH -- This is the newest product from ‘Color Wonder.’ I have seen a lot of ‘Color Wonder’ products and I have never been a big fan of them. They seem like a great idea. There is supposed to be no mess and they are easy to do.I do not like how long it takes for the paint color to show up after you paint. It takes a few seconds to see what you have painted. I have heard other mom’s say that they do not like them because it does not teach the kids to stay in the lines, because you can not go out of the lines, the color will not show up.This toy came with blank paper, so that was not a problem. It is a very cool toy. You have a row of paint colors and a brush that is attached. When you hold the brush over the paint, the brush turns that color. The kids loved this. They though it was very neat that the brush could tell what color it was over. I heard a lot of “cool” being said while they were playing with it.Even the little kids liked it. I would not normally give my 3-year-old paint, but he did fine with it. He made a beautiful picture. The paint does tend to run out quickly. You can buy refills, so I would just go ahead and buy those if you want to use this toy more than two times. The refills come in bold colors and pastel. It also is much messier than other ‘Color Wonder’ products. The paint was every where when they were done. It does clean up easily though. Also, you have to get the brush very full of paint at first to make it change colors. Over all the kids did like the toy. They were excited the few times that I brought it out. It is great toy to let kids use their imagination and have fun.COMPARE PRICES: (as of 11/17/08)Amazon: $27.99Toys-R-Us: $14.99Target: $19.99Walmart: $14.96Have you played with this toy?
