PITTSBURGH -- This butterfly is a crazy, fun, flying toy.

When we first flew this toy it circled the kitchen and flew into my daughter Mary’s hair. I was expecting it to just fly straight and then fall to the ground. It was very funny. Jack (Age 3) was hiding under the pillow because he did not want it to fly into his hair. I have to say that when it did fly at me, it was a little intimidating.

You put the butterfly in the handle and hold the button in half way for 10 seconds while the wings flap then you push the trigger and the butterfly flies off. It flies nice for a few seconds and then it does crash to the ground. It would be better if it continued to fly, but it seems to crash quickly and then you have to wait for the charge to wear out before you can use it again.

Also, it works much better outside than inside, unless you have a very large room with nothing that it will crash into. I think it would be a much better gift for the spring or the summer than winter. The butterfly held up pretty well. The wing did end up ripping, but it had at least a week of flying before it ripped. My kids played with this toy a lot longer than I thought they would. I would say it would be a great toy for a few warm days.
