The last thing a carjacker wants is a highway backed up with cars, especially if he needs a quick escape.
That’s what happened to Brian Kada Jr. so he improvised.
Kada grabbed an ambulance and took off but the comedy had just begun.
Kada’s new ride blew a tire and them he realized there was still a patient inside the vehicle.
WTSP reports a driver on the freeway explained.
"All of the sudden there was an ambulance in my rear view mirror, I pull over to let him by. He swerves, almost clips the front of the car. I notice a blown out tire in the back, and smoke coming out from the hood."
Another driver, Brian Perkins told the station "It was pretty scary. He was weaving in and out of traffic, on a blowout tire riding on that rim. I thought he was going to flip over,"
Things got worse for the bad luck crook as the ambulance suffered enough damage to "became disabled" and Kada jumped out and took off on foot.
It wasn’t long before the hapless Kada was in custody and the patient was back in real medical care.
The patient was taken to medical care and was not hurt but has one heck of a story to tell.
