Today, college basketball practice begins early due to a new NCAA rule. So unlike previous years, Big Blue Madness this year will not usher in the beginning of the season with a bang, but it will creep in on little Wildcat feet.

Yes, I picked UK over Florida as my upset of the year before the season. I'll pick it again now.— J.Rowland (@RowlandRIVALS) September 27, 2013
I hate to remind you all of this, but it needs to end.

Some coaches like, and others dislike, the new rule allowing basketball practice to begin today. DeMarcus Cousins agrees to $62 million max contract with the Sacramento Kings. So the two 2010 stars at UK, Wall and Cousins, have both receive maximum deals. I think that says a little something about us as well, don't you think?
Some people aren't happy. Any wonder I dislike Jeff Goodman?
Didn't take Goodman long to get his predictable shot in on Cousins. Wasn't he supposed to flame out and hit 300+ lbs?— Adam (@G2_Blog) September 27, 2013

B1G commish Jim Delaney says that if athletes don't like the college rule, they can take a hike. Pretty blunt, and I don't expect them to take him up on his offer.
