  • The question over who would have custody of late singer Michael Jackson's children Paris, Prince and Blanket brought the Jackson family plenty of attention this summer. In July, grandmother Katherine Jackson -- the children's guardian -- was reported missing and Jackson's siblings accused the executors of his estate of misleading their mother. Ultimately, Katherine is sharing custody with Michael's nephew, TJ.
  • Country singer Randy Travis has had a rough year, starting in February 2012 with an arrest for public intoxication while sitting in his car in a church parking lot. In early August, Travis was found by police lying naked in the road and smelling of alcohol. Later that month, he had another brush with the law after being cited for simple assault for a fight outside a church. Here's to hoping Randy can stay away from the bottle -- and churches -- for the rest of the year.
  • Some fans claimed to have seen it coming, but many were shocked after power couple Tom Cruise and Katie Homes decided to call it quits after five years of marriage in June. After speculation that the divorce might get nasty, with custody of the couple's 6-year-old daughter Suri at stake, the pair actually settled the split in two weeks.
  • Prince Harry caught flak after photos of him putting the crown jewels on display during an August trip to Las Vegas were leaked to the media. Harry allegedly took off his clothes during a game of strip pool . The Palace has not commented on the photos.
