Plan Proposed To Get Pittsburgh Green

Pittsburgh City Council is going green.

The council held a special session Monday morning to discuss the new Pittsburgh Climate Action Plan.

The goal of the plan is to create a 20 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in the city.

The plan outlines strategies for government, business, labor, nonprofit and university sectors to help reduce the city's carbon footprint.

The council will vote o nthe plan later in the summer.
