CDC Launches ‘Travel Well’ To Combat H1N1

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention launched a program called “Travel Well” to combat the spread of the H1N1 virus.

It is the largest public awareness campaign ever to inform travelers how to stay healthy while on the road.

The CDC said consider buying travelers insurance in case you have to cancel because of illness.

Officials said to stay home if you are sick.

Wash your hands often and cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing.

“Anytime people are close together, there is possibility of germs spreading,” said CDC official Dr. Anne Schuchat. “One of the most important things people can do is travel only if they’re well.”

Since April, the H1N1 virus has caused more than 4,000 deaths in the United States.
