PITTSBURGH -- Star workouts are always in style since so many people want to look like a superstar.One diet has really caught on in Hollywood and now it's spreading to the streets of Pittsburgh.Why? Because as reporter Trisha Pittman found out, lots of young women want to be Jessica Simpson.Five meals a day, five-ingredient recipes and five-minute prep time. Those are the keys to Harley Pasternak's "The 5 Factor Diet."The diet promises if you follow the specific recipes like broccoli cheddar omelets and chicken salad with apples you won't be hungry.UPMC sports medicine dietician, Leslie Bonci, said eating that way can be healthy.“First of all you're eating smaller frequent meals, with calorie level of about 1,500 a day and it's also very balanced -- it's not low carb, high fat, it's really a mix of a lot of things,” Bonci said.Another big part of the plan is working out.The book outlines several exercise routines, each with five phases that last five minutes each.Bonci said, “It's not only about eating -- it's thinking about the exercise and it isn't one without the other.”
