Vigil Being Held On North Side, Includes Musical Performances

PITTSBURGH -- A candlelight vigil will be held tonight beginning at 6:30 p.m. in East Park on the North Side in Front of Allegheny General Hospital to draw attention to changes needed in health care system.The vigil is being held by Consumer Health Coalition, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing health and access to quality, affordable health care for at-risk populations.CHC furthers its mission through outreach, education no comma and grassroots community organizing. Tonight’s event will feature speakers and musical performances.The group is calling for a transformation of health care to be all-inclusive, affordable , accessible and accountable.The vigil includes a special performance by Drum the Ecstatic International Trio, featuring Jim Donovan comma founding member of the band Rusted Root.
