(Sports Network) - The Arizona Cardinals re-signed four free agents on Wednesday and also announced that offensive lineman Elton Brown has inked his one-year qualifying offer.

In addition to Brown, defensive end Joe Tafoya and wide receiver Jerheme Urban signed two-year contracts, while wide receiver Ahmad Merritt and defensive end Bo Schobel inked one-year deals.

Brown appeared in nine games last season for the Cardinals, starting five at right tackle. The fourth-year lineman out of Virginia has played in 18 games with 14 starts since the Cardinals made him a fourth-round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft.

Tafoya played 13 games and started seven in 2007 for Arizona, collecting career highs with 21 tackles and two sacks. He signed with the Cardinals last April after playing for Chicago and Seattle in his first five NFL seasons.

Urban appeared in 10 games, starting two, last season after the Cardinals claimed him off waivers from Dallas in September. He caught 22 passes for 329 yards with two touchdowns. In his career, which included three seasons with Seattle, the Trinity product has 35 catches for 597 yards and three touchdowns.

Merritt spent the 2007 season on injured reserve with an ankle problem. He signed with Arizona last May after playing for the Chicago Bears and has 19 receptions for 170 yards. The Wisconsin product has averaged 22.1 yards on 65 kickoff returns during his career.

Schobel had two tackles in two games last season after signing as a free agent in November. He was a member of the Indianapolis Colts' Super Bowl championship team in 2006 and has also played for Tennessee.
