Rodgers Rests Again, But He's Ready For Sunday

Friday, October 10, 2008

(Sports Network) - Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers didn't throw at practice for a third straight day, but a sprained right shoulder isn't expected to prevent him from starting Sunday's game at Seattle.

Rodgers hurt the shoulder in a 30-21 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 28. He was a game-time decision in last Sunday's contest against the Atlanta Falcons, but he did start and finished 25-of-37 for 313 yards and three touchdowns along with a late interception in the 27-24 defeat.

On Friday, Rodgers didn't throw at practice with coach Mike McCarthy saying it was a medical decision to keep the QB limited in his workout.

A former first-round pick, the 24-year-old has passed for 1,274 yards with nine touchdowns and four interceptions in five games this season, his first as a starter since replacing Brett Favre, who was traded to the New York Jets.
