Baltimore, MD -- (Sports Network) - Adam Jones and Ramon Hernandez both hit two- run home runs as Baltimore blitzed Toronto, 8-3, in the opener of a four-game set from Camden Yards.

Melvin Mora went 2-for-4 and added the go-ahead two-run single for the Orioles, who have won three of four.

Radhames Liz (4-2) got the win but allowed five hits and three runs, fanning four while issuing six walks in 5 2/3 frames.

"Liz stayed away from the big inning and he kept the ball in the ballpark," said Orioles manager Dave Trembley. "He made pitches when he had to especially with guys on base."

Alex Rios, Rod Barajas and Scott Rolen each knocked in a run for the Blue Jays, who have dropped three of four.

Jesse Litsch (8-7) was charged with seven hits and six runs over 4 2/3 innings in the loss.

After Toronto tied the game in their fifth-inning at-bat, Baltimore loaded the bases with two outs in the home half on a Brian Roberts double, Jones' infield hit and a walk to Huff.

Mora followed with a two-run line-drive hit to center for a 5-3 edge, then Brandon League entered the game only to allow a single by Luke Scott which chased home the Orioles' sixth run.

"We had one inning going there and we didn't do too much with it," said Blue Jays manager Cito Gaston. "I think if we would have gotten back in the dugout with an even score, it might have been a different ball game for us."

Hernandez added a two-run shot in the eighth off Scott Frasor to boost the Baltimore lead to 8-3, and Randor Bierd completed the game with a scoreless ninth.

Toronto picked up a run in the second as Lyle Overbay worked a leadoff walk, advanced on a Barajas single, and scored on Rolen's base hit.

The O's countered with three in the home third. Kevin Millar led off with a single, followed by a Hernandez double. Brandon Fahey plated the first run on a groundout, and after Roberts was retired on a grounder, Mora planted a Litsch offering into the right-field seats for a 3-1 game.

"Our situational hitting was very good," Trembley noted. "When Hernandez doubled down the line I thought the guys had made some adjustments after the first time around."

However, the Jays wound up with a pair of runs in the fifth to knot the game on a Rios RBI double and a sacrifice fly from Barajas.

Toronto has won five of the nine meetings this season, but had a four-game series win streak snapped...The Hernandez blast was his 10th of the season, giving the Orioles six players who have hit at least 10 on the year...Jones has reached base in each of the last 20 games...Litsch tied his season-high for earned runs allowed in one start.
