Toronto Blue Jays (42-46) At LA Angels Of Anaheim (52-35), 3:35 P.m.

(Sports Network) - The American League West-leading LA Angels of Anaheim are set to play the rubber match of a three-game weekend set against the Toronto Blue Jays.

On Saturday, Alex Rios went 3-for-5 and drove in two runs, and Vernon Wells clubbed a two-run homer as the Blue Jays staved off a late rally to beat the Angels, 7-5. Roy Halladay (10-6) threw seven innings and yielded just two runs on six hits, while fanning seven and walking just one batter. Halladay has now won seven of his last eight decisions.

Adam Lind was responsible for the other RBI for the Blue Jays, who had lost their previous three contests. Vladimir Guerrero hit a two-run home run and finished with three RBI for the Angels, who still boast a 4-2 record over their last six showdowns. John Lackey (6-2), who had won his last five starts, took the loss as he was touched for six runs -- five earned -- on seven hits in six innings. The six frames is the shortest outing of the season for Lackey.

Jesse Litsch has been impressive for Toronto this season, and the right-handed hurler has a chance to improve his 8-4 record and 3.69 ERA today. He has shown strong command, walking only 15 batters in 102.1 innings of work. Litsch allowed only one run over 5.2 innings against Seattle on Tuesday but did not factor in the decision.

The second-year hurler is 1-0 lifetime against Angels with a 2.84 ERA.

Speaking of the Angels, they will count on Jon Garland for a good performance today. The right-handed hurler is 7-5 this season with a 3.99 ERA, and he took the loss in his most recent outing despite allowing only two earned runs in six innings.

Garland is 1-0 this season against Toronto and 10-2 lifetime against the Jays. Still, his 4.23 ERA against Toronto isn't overly impressive.

Anaheim has won five of its eight 2008 meetings with Toronto and took two of three matchups with the Jays at Angel Stadium from May 30-June 1.
