Milwaukee Brewers (20-23) At Boston Red Sox (26-19), 1:35 P.m.

(Sports Network) - Josh Beckett will try and help the Boston Red Sox complete a three-game sweep of their interleague series with the Milwaukee Brewers this afternoon at Fenway Park.

After Friday's contest was postponed due to rain, the Red Sox swept both ends of a doubleheader on Saturday, winning the first game 5-3, then rallying in the nightcap, 7-6, after blowing a five-run lead.

David Ortiz provided the offense in the first game, as he hit a three-run homer and scored twice, while Daisuke Matsuzaka (7-0) went 6 2/3 innings for the win, allowing two unearned runs and seven hits, fanning six with a pair of walks.

In the second game, Kevin Youkilis hit the go-ahead bloop single in the seventh inning to put the Red Sox in front for good. Mike Lowell homered and knocked in four runs for Boston, which had dropped four in a row before the sweep.

Craig Hansen (1-2) allowed three unearned runs in the seventh inning, but managed to get the victory in the second game.

The teams combined for seven errors in the second, four of which were committed by the Brewers.

Milwaukee, which has now dropped four straight, managed to keep Manny Ramirez stuck on 498 home runs, as he vies to become the 24th player in major league history to reach 500 for his career.

Prince Fielder combined to go 4-for-8 with three doubles, a pair of walks and a run in Saturday's doubleheader. He has now hit safely in five straight games, going 8-for-16 (.500) in that span.

The Brewers have also lost eight in a row away from Miller Park.

Beckett, meanwhile, is coming off one of his worst outings of the season in his last start on Tuesday in Baltimore. Beckett gave up five runs and 11 hits over 5 2/3 innings of that one, as he fell to 4-3 on the season, while raising his earned run average to 4.21.

The 28-year-old hurler is 0-2 lifetime against the Brewers with a 9.53 ERA in three starts.

Milwaukee will pin its hopes on righty Carlos Villanueva, who is 2-4 with a 6.00 ERA. Villanueva won for the first time in seven starts on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, as he allowed three runs (two earned) and eight hits in six innings.

Villanueva has never faced the Red Sox.

Boston was 12-6 last season in interleague play, while the Brewers went 8-7 versus the Junior Circuit. The Red Sox are also 16-3 in their last 19 interleague games at Fenway Park.
