Rangers Hurley To Miss Start Saturday

Friday, July 4, 2008

(Sports Network) - Texas' Eric Hurley will miss his scheduled start Saturday against the Baltimore Orioles due to a tight left hamstring.

Hurley, 22, felt tightness when running in the outfield before Friday's 10-4 loss at Camden Yards. The rookie righty is 1-1 with a 3.57 earned run average in four starts this season.

The Rangers are hopeful Hurley will be able to throw against the Angels on Tuesday.

Scott Feldman will take the hill Saturday in place of the rookie. In 14 appearances this season -- 12 starts -- the four-year veteran is 2-3 with a 4.38 ERA.
