LA Angels Of Anaheim (27-20) At Toronto Blue Jays (23-24), 7:07 P.m.

(Sports Network) - Jon Garland tries to continue his dominance in Toronto this evening when the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim continue their three-game set with the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre.

Garland is a perfect 5-0 in Toronto with a 4.47 earned run average in nine games, seven of which have been starts. He is an impressive 9-2 lifetime against the Blue Jays with a 4.15 ERA in 15 games (13 starts).

The 28-year-old righty is 4-3 this season with a 4.32 ERA, but is unbeaten in his last three starts. Garland received a no-decision on Thursday against the Chicago White Sox, as he gave up three runs and seven hits in six innings of a 4-3 loss.

Over his last three starts Garland is 1-0 with a 1.64 ERA and has gone eight innings in two of those three outings.

Los Angles hopes Garland can give it the same kind of effort that John Lackey did in the opener of this set on Tuesday. Lackey worked seven effective innings for his first win of the season, lifting the Angels to a 3-1 victory.

Lackey (1-0) allowed only one run on seven hits and three walks. He struck out six in his second start since being activated off the disabled list to give Los Angeles its second straight win and third in four tries.

Casey Kotchman was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Vladimir Guerrero knocked in LA's other run.

Toronto starter Dustin McGowan (2-4) went 6 1/3 innings, allowing three runs -- two earned -- on five hits and four walks to take the loss. It was only Toronto's second loss in its last eight games.

Brad Wilkerson hit his first home run of the season and walked twice, and Marco Scutaro was 2-for-2 with two walks for the Blue Jays, who have scored six runs or less in each of their last 33 games.

The Blue Jays will pin their hopes tonight on right-hander Shaun Marcum, who is 4-2 with a 2.50 ERA. Marcum gave up two runs on Sunday in Philadelphia, but only pitched one inning of that one due to a two-hour, five-minute rain delay. His last start before that one came on May 12 against Cleveland, which managed just two hits over eight scoreless innings.

Marcum has beat the Angels both times he has faced them and has pitched to a 2.08 ERA in those contests.

Toronto won four of its seven meetings with the Angels last season and is 15-9 in the series since the start of the 2006 campaign. The Halos have also won just three times in their last 11 visits north of the border in that time.
