Apple Announces Rare Sale

Apple products very rarely go on sale, but it seems the poor economy has even that retail giant rethinking its marketing plan.

Apple announced it will be holding a one-day Black Friday sale on its Web site.

The posting on the Apple Web site is vague on just what is on sale and what discounts consumers can expect.

It calls the sale a “special one-day Apple shopping event” and invites buyers to come back on Friday and teases “You’ll find dozens of great iPod, iPhones and Mac gift ideas-all with free delivery.”

Another change when it comes to Apple products, some retailers are actually discounting Apple products also something that is almost never done.

Best Buy is discounting Apple’s MacBook by between $100 and $150, with the cheapest model now selling for under $900.
