Want To Buy Beer, Wine At Grocery Store?

Local Markets To Include Liquor Stores

Your favorite beer or wine could soon be as close as your local supermarket.

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board plans to open liquor stores inside major supermarkets in the Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg areas.

The state needs about 2,500 square feet of space for a liquor store.

PLCB leaders say the stores could be in place by 2004.
