Web Site Exposes Cheaters, Bad Boyfriends

Women Seek Revenge Against Ex-Boyfriends

There's now a Web site where women can rat out their exes and make them marked men to stay away from.

Consumer reporter Becky Thompson looked into the dirty details of the Web site DontDateHimGirl.com to find out how far you can go to get back at your date.

The Web site has been up for only five months but already gets 600,000 hits a day and has 520,000 registered users.

“There seems to be such a code of silence -- when it's like its OK for men to run around and to cheat and to lie and to hurt people,” said an anonymous woman who logged a complaint.

Getting hurt is why the woman warned every woman she could about a man she dated for five years.

The woman said the man cheated on her and lied about it.

Tasha Joseph, the founder of the DontDateHimGirl.com already has two dozen Pittsburgh area men on it.

Joseph said the Web site is doing exactly what she intended.

“We get e-mails every day from women who have seen guys on DontDateHimGirl.com and haven't dated the guy because they heard or read about what the guy has done to other women,” said Joseph.

“I won't tell you there are justifiable lawsuits here. I will tell you that there are grave risks of lawsuits,” said Pittsburgh defamation attorney Ronald Barber.

Barber said the allegations of cheating on a spouse or transmitting a disease to someone could, to a jury, fall under the category of "too much information."

What if the allegations aren't true?

One local police officer who has numerous entries underneath his name declined an on-camera interview but told us his "girlfriend doesn't believe it" and "that's all that matters."

Joseph said her site is perfectly legal, equating it to an online chatroom or bulletin board.

Men can post their own side of the story right next to their profile.
