Death Of Mia Farrow's Brother Called Suspicious

Body Of Sculptor Found At Gallery

Vermont State Police confirmed Tuesday that Patrick Farrow, the brother of actress Mia Farrow, died what they called a suspicious death at his Castleton gallery and residence late Monday night, television station WPTZ reported.

Police said the victim's wife, Susan Farrow, phoned 911 at about 11:30 p.m. Monday requesting assistance from police. Troopers arrived at the home and immediately opened an investigation after finding the body, police said.

Officer Tim Oliver said the death was considered suspicious because portions of the police investigation didn't add up. Police wanted to be thorough in their investigation, Oliver said. He said Tuesday afternoon that police do not suspect foul play, but that there were a couple things out of the ordinary. He did not elaborate on what that meant.

Neighbors told WPTZ.com that police asked them if they had noticed anything out of the ordinary coming from the house, such as fighting, but neighbors said they did not hear anything unusual coming from the home.

"Patrick has been a professional sculptor for over 35 years. Raised in Hollywood and Europe, he left New York City thirty years ago to pursue his art in the peaceful mountains of Vermont. A 'fellow' in the National Sculpture Society, he has received numerous national awards; including those of the Allied Artists of America and the National Sculpture Society," according to farrowgallery.com.

Patrick Farrow was in the news last year speaking out after the death of his nephew, Army Sgt. Jason Dene, who died during his third tour of duty in Iraq. Patrick Farrow strongly opposed the war.
