$1 million Powerball tickets sold in several area counties

PITTSBURGH — Several Pennsylvanians bought Powerball tickets worth $1 million in Wednesday night's drawing.

Officials from the Pennsylvania Lottery said three winning Powerball tickets worth $1 million each were sold at the Swaraj Servic Station in Altoona, Blair County, Planet Mart in Cabot, Butler County, and a Sunoco in Wynnewood, Montgomery County.

Each ticket correctly matched all five white balls, 05-16-22-23-29, but not the red Powerball 06, to win a prize of $1 million, minus 25 percent federal withholding.

Each retailer will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling a winning ticket.
