UPDATE: Channel 11's Kimberly Easton is in the courtroom.

She said a judge is hearing motions this hour in the Martha Bell case. At issue is whether to allow Bell's personal income and her handling of her finances as proof of neglect in the death of one of the care home residents. The defense argues that using someone's personal income is irrelevant in any kind of criminal case. John Elash said, "We're talking about involuntary manslaughter, not finance."

Jury selection is expected to wrap up Monday in the case against Martha F. Bell. the former administrator of the Atrium Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Opening statements are set to begin after the selection is complete.

More than five years ago, police said 88-year-old Mabel Taylor left her room at the center and made her way outside.

Workers found her body on the sidewalk the next morning.

Bell is facing charges of manslaughter, conspiracy and theft.
