A protest was held Friday morning on a Pittsburgh street.

Chopper 11 was over the scene at a Carnegie Mellon University facility in Lawrenceville.

Anti-war activists were lying on the ground with their arms bound together at the National Robotics Engineering Center.

It is a research center funded by the Pentagon.

About 60 people participated, with two groups locking themselves together with plastic pipe to block entrances.

One woman hung in a harness suspended from a 20-foot tripod.

Police charged 13 adults and one juvenile with disorderly conduct and related charges after failing to disperse.

Police and organizers said the demonstration was peaceful.

Organizers said they achieved their goal of closing the facility for the day.

Carnegie Mellon University officials did not immediately comment.
