Police Investigate Similar Cases In Crafton

The 13-year-old girl who was allegedly assaulted by a man on her way to school in Crafton Tuesday morning told police she saw the same man again on Wednesday.

Pittsburgh police said the girl was waiting in a fenced-in parking lot behind Schaeffer Intermediate School at 7:50 a.m. when she saw the man who attempted to abduct her standing in an alley behind the school.

She told police that he pointed to her and made a gesture across his throat with his hand.

The girl then said she turned away, and when she looked again he was gone.

The incident was reported to a teacher, who in turn told the principal.

Officials are working to compile a new composite sketch of the man.

Police said Tuesday’s attempted abduction is similar to the attempted abduction in the same neighborhood earlier this month.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
