FINDLAY TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Passengers are seeing something different at Pittsburgh International Airport on Monday -- random car checks.

The security change came after an airport attack overseas.

Allegheny County police made random checks of cars arriving at the airport on Sunday afternoon.

Police found nothing in the four-hour inspection that is part of security recommended by the federal Transportation Security Administration.

The TSA said there is nothing to indicate an attack in the United States is planned.

But travelers can expect to see increased security at airports across the country, due in part to the Fourth of July holiday, including the use of K-9 teams and increased security staff in public areas.

As always, the TSA urges travelers to report any suspicious activity and allow a little more time for holiday travel.
