CASTLE SHANNON, Pa. -- Bar owners are taking their frustration to the street to protest Allegheny County's newly passed drink tax.A sign outside the Castle Tavern in Castle Shannon targets County Chief Executive Dan Onorato. It reads, "We voted. Dan Onorato not welcome."The bar owners are part of a class action lawsuit to overturn the 10 percent tax on poured alcoholic beverages.Jan Toci said she e-mailed Onorato about her opposition to the tax but he ignored her."Nobody here is happy with him," she said. "I always liked Dan Onorato until this happened. I voted for him. I won't vote for him when he runs for governor."The tax takes effect on Jan. 1.The $30 million it is expected to generate would help fund the cash-strapped Port Authority.
