A pregnant woman accused of attacking a Rochester bartender is behind bars.

Keisharra Abercrombie, 30, of Rochester, was charged Thursday with charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and recklessly endangering another person.

Police said the 7-month pregnant woman went into a rage at Squires Municipal Grill and attack 39-year-old Ricki Shields when she refused to serve her a drink.

When the bartender told Abercrombie that she already had enough to drink and that she shouldn’t be drinking because she is pregnant, Abercrombie smashed a beer bottle across Shields’ head, nearly severing her left ear, police said. Witnesses said Abercrombie also threw bar glasses at the bartender. It took two staples and 28 stitches to reattach her ear.

Abercrombie told police Shields disrespected her, and that’s why she hit her with the bottle.

Abercrombie was arraigned Thursday morning before District Judge Donald Eiler in Ambridge. She was transported to the Beaver County Jail on $25,000 bond.
