Swogger Resigns From Position At Highlands High School

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. -- Police said a 34-year-old teacher’s aide at Highlands High School is facing criminal charges.Abbiejane Swogger was arrested on Friday and accused of renting a hotel room in New Kensington, officials said. Inside the room at the Clarion Inn, police found beer, marijuana, an open condom wrapper and at least four teens – some of whom were friends of Swogger’s 15-year-old son.Highlands Superintendent Dr. Karol Galcik told Channel 11 that Swogger resigned from her position on Monday morning. School officials are deciding whether they will discuss the situation with students and bring in counselors.Swogger told Channel 11 News that she was at the hotel with a girlfriend when her son showed up with friends and she didn't turn them away, she allowed them to stay."I'm innocent and I want people to know I did not serve underage people alcohol. I did not do that and I'm not having sex with an underager," said Swogger.Police said they are continuing their investigation and charges are pending against Swogger.- What Is Advance Video?
