Ex-High School Teacher's Aide Arrested Again

Police Say 34-Year-Old Broke Condition Of Bond

A former high school teacher's aide charged in a hotel party allegedly involving minors, alcohol and drugs, has been arrested again.

The attorney for 34-year-old Abbiejane Swogger, of Natrona, said her bond was revoked Tuesday night when she was found in the home of another Highlands High School teacher's aide.

One of the conditions of Swogger's bond was that she not leave her home. According to her attorney, a caller notified police who found her at the friend's house and took her into custody.

Swogger is in the Westmoreland County Jail and will have a bail hearing on March 6.

Swogger has denied wrongdoing. But she resigned as an aide to a special needs student in the Highlands School District on Monday after media reports about the police raid at the hotel room on Friday.

Police said they found 9.5 grams of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in the Clarion Inn room registered to Swogger. Three teens were also present.

Swogger told Channel 11 News Monday that she was at the hotel with a girlfriend when her son showed up with friends and she allowed them to stay.

"I'm innocent and I want people to know I did not serve underage people alcohol. I did not do that and I'm not having sex with an underager," said Swogger.

The school district sent out a letter to parents Wednesday. In the letter, parents are told that the school district was investigating reports of misconduct prior to Swogger's arrest. But, that Swogger resigned before it could act on the findings.

The letter also said that the scandal, "overshadows so many good things going here with technology and achievement. The good is taking a backseat right now which is a shame."

The school is offering counseling to students. It is also asking that students who say they have nude pictures of Swogger to destroy them.
