Flames broke out at a house in Beechview Tuesday morning.

Fire crews were called to the home at the corner of Sebring Avenue and Rockland Street around 8 a.m., near Beechwood Elementary School.

Flames were seen shooting from first and second floors.

Witness John Pearson said, "I looked in and the whole living room was engulfed."

The blaze gutted the two-story house.

Battalion Chief Rick Becker said, “It was a frame house with a heavy fire load. The guy had a lot of collectibles, like record collections, that burn very hot and fast."

No one was home when the fire started.
