Steelworkers Trying To Save Washington County Mill

ALLENPORT, Pa. -- Steelworkers are meeting with Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel to try to save a Washington County mill.The company plans to close its operations in Allenport.The United Steelworkers union is hoping a Russian company can buy out Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and save the mill.The Allenport, Pa. plant employs 240 people.It's one of the last remaining steel mills in the Mon Valley.
