Family and friends continue to mourn a 12-year-old boy shot and killed just one block from his home.

Many considered Kholen Germany a future leader. He was killed in front of a Wilkinsburg store Friday evening.

Kholen's mother, Orissa Bey, was among the 100 mourners gathered there last night to remember the Kelly Elementary School student. Police said he was not the intended target.

“He was just going to his friend's house, that's it. It wasn't late, it was 6 o'clock; broad daylight. He was only 12, innocent, didn't bother anybody, nobody. I just want them to turn themselves in,” Bey said.

Funeral arrangements have been made for Germany.

His visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Spriggs-Watson Funeral Home on North Lang Avenue. The funeral will be held there on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

The family has set up a fund in Kholen Germany's name. Donations can be made at any PNC Bank.
