The future of a principal in the New Kensington-Arnold School District is in question after he was busted in a sex sting.

Kim Crummie, the principal of Valley Middle School, has been charged with sex crimes.

According to police, Crummie met with an undercover officer in the men's bathroom at Harrison Park in Harrison Township. It was there that Crummie allegedly made his indecent proposal to the officer.

Parents with children in Valley Middle are appalled.

Parent Greg Pesanski said, "That doesn't sit well with me at all, not one bit."

Crummie was arrested and released from police custody last Friday. He was at work at Valley Middle School until Wednesday.

The district sent out a letter to parents to inform them of the situation on Thursday. In the letter, the superintendent assured parents that the incident did not involve other school staff or students.

The superintendent said appropriate actions will be taken after the investigation is complete, and that students safety is the schools' number one priority.

Before working at Valley Middle School, Crummie was a principal at Sto-Rox High School and Seneca Valley Middle School.
